What if we were living a strange re-edition of the ‘30s? That very question was the foundation of the Action30 collective which, since 2005, meditates on “new” forms of racism and fascism by using the first decades of the Twentieth century as a sort of mirror or magnifying glass.
In Grande Brasserie Cyrano, first ideal chapter of Versus, a hybrid project between comic, philosophy, live performance and motion comic, we see the birth of the duelists, as they come out of the cabarets artistiques “Le Ciel” and “L’Enfer”. Metaphorically sons to the same mother, the singer Damia (friends with the holder of the Café Cyrano, a surrealists hangout) and two fathers, only allegedly close, Breton and Bataille.
